How important was the recent Congressional vote on the re-establishment of permanent normal trade relations with China? Within a week of passage, the China Premium Food Corporation announced the creation of a B2B food portal called MandarinFoods.com—a site designed to introduce U.S. food manufacturers to the wealth of export opportunities available in China.

Though still in the beta test stage at press time, MandarinFoods.com reportedly intends to provide online ordering for both wholesalers and merchants (exporters and importers), in addition to offering marketing, research, testing, packaging, advertising and promotional support for companies seeking successful product line introduction.

“Essentially, we’ve removed all the barriers to market entry in China for Western manufacturers,” explains China Premium President and CEO Roy Warren, whose company boasts five years of experience in the international food exporting business (Mandarin Fine Foods Co. is, in fact, the largest caviar producer and exporter in China). “Our B2B portal is a cyber silk route that offers Chinese buyers and American and international food suppliers all the infrastructure needed to easily transact trade.”
