EverClears Electro-Catalytic Water Treatment System
Imagine a municipal water treatment facility that you didnt need a nose plug to live next door to. Those are certainly the implications of a new water treatment/purification process developed by H2O Technologies and licensed to Portland, Oregon-based EverClear Environmental Technologies, Inc. Their revolutionary, new, purification system kills disease-causing bacteria naturally by using high levels of stable oxygen.
EverClear proved as much in a recent series of tests conducted on water from Oregons Willamette River, which was treated using their patented electro-catalytic process. According to a company spokesperson, all but a small percentage of bacteria was killed by the treatment process, with the remaining falling well within acceptable standards for municipal drinking water.
Because oxygen is a natural bactericide, the result of their process is inexpensively treated clean water that does not require the use of chemicals like chlorine to purify. The applications of this efficient treatment system are immense, claims John Lorenz, present and CEO of EverClear. Cities and other large users of drinking water could employ this purification process to tap sources that previously were too expensive or impractical to purify through chemical means.
So, how does it work? Simple: Untreated water falls into contact with the proprietary electro-catalytic cell plates; electrical current to the plates alters oxygen molecules in the water, causing them to release hydrogen atoms. The higher concentration of oxygen molecules left behind (up to 45 parts per million) zaps the disease-causing bacteria on contact.
